I have a passion for working with couples by improving communication and increasing understanding of one another to reduce conflict. We will begin by looking at the characteristics of the two roles in every relationship and why you are in that role. I will help you understand how your history has impacted who you are today. Using a solution-focused approach, we will explore unconscious triggers, unmet needs, and gain a deeper understanding of your behavioral responses. While working on guided communication exercises, you will learn effective ways to express your needs and develop appropriate behavioral responses during conflict.
I work with adults who are dealing with negative thinking, anger, anxiety, depression & low self-esteem. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brainspotting, and other counseling modalities we will explore the core beliefs and automatic negative thinking patters that you have that are influencing you unconsciously throughout your day. I will give you coping skills that you can use immediately to empower yourself by taking control of your thinking, which has a direct impact on your level of happiness. I have personally struggled with anxiety my entire life, as well as bouts of depression. This is the driving force behind the passion I have for my work.
